We are seeking an outgoing, ambitious, and creative Associate Media Director to join our growing Media team in our New York City office.

The Associate Media Director is a senior-level role that will report directly to the Group Media Director. The primary responsibility of the Associate Media Director is to oversee the planning, implementation, and optimization of media campaigns across various channels to meet our marketing and advertising goals.

Key Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

  • Collaborate with the Media Director and other team members to develop comprehensive media strategies aligned with our marketing objectives and target audience.
  • Lead the media planning process, which involves researching and selecting media channels, negotiating media rates, and managing media budgets. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging media platforms to identify new opportunities for reaching the target audience effectively.
  • Oversee the execution of media campaigns across various channels, such as TV, radio, print, digital, social media, and out-of-home. Ensure campaigns are launched efficiently, within budget, and in line with the established strategy.
  • Manage a team of media planners and buyers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, review work quality, and foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to understand their business objectives, marketing goals, and target audience. Attend client meetings, presentations, and discussions to provide media expertise, address concerns, and present campaign results.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media vendors, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable rates and placements. Stay informed about industry changes, new advertising opportunities, and emerging media technologies.
  • Utilize analytical tools and platforms to measure and analyze the effectiveness of media campaigns. Prepare comprehensive reports, highlighting key performance metrics, insights, and recommendations for future campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus
  • At least 5 years experience in media planning, buying, and campaign management, preferably within an advertising or media agency
  • In-depth knowledge of various media channels, including digital, social, traditional, and emerging platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools to measure campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate media strategies and campaign results to internal teams and clients

Strategic Leadership and Work Development

  • Drive the strategic planning process, fostering innovative ideas and actionable insights designed to achieve client objectives.

We're building out our platforms team! The Performance Director (Digital Media Director) is a client facing position expected to manage a team. This position will provide strategic guidance on the budget splits between awareness and performance media, as well as allocations between performance channels. Ability to be a strategic leader as well as hands on within the platforms.

Expert level knowledge of SEM, Social and Linkedin to be able to guide recommendations, QA junior teams work, and design channel specific recommendations from the ground up.

Essential Functions

Performance Media

  • Represent Noble People’s capabilities for SEM and performance media to build client facing recommendations, troubleshooting and QA’ing campaign set up for junior team members
  • Expert in SEM optimizations, bid strategies for EMEA, APAC and the US
  • Serve as an internal resource to Noble People media teams, functioning as an expert on performance media planning/buying practices
  • Lead all direct response media planning activities; primarily SEM (Google, Bing) and Social (GDN, YouTube, Meta, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, etc.) with the junior team, collaborating with brand media directors
  • Expert in Google Analytics, GoogleAds, Google360, DCM
  • Expert in vendor ad tech to put forward best practices and recommendations to advise media teams on vendor selection
  • Expert in floodlight mapping and data passback to create measurement plans for client goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior contacts at appropriate vendors
  • Oversee, author and/or edit the writing of documents (timelines, POVs, RFPs, plans, processes, education materials)
  • Leverage syndicated digital research (e.g. ComScore, MRI, SimilarWeb) to benchmark trends and/or manage expectations of forecasted trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Analytics & measurement

  • Work closely with clients and team to develop campaign KPIs and recommend an effective measurement plans to meet client goals
  • Collaborate with Ad Ops team to implement measurement plan based on client needs and timelines
  • Create and enforce processes to accurately and effectively capture necessary data from both client and suppliers for objectives and KPI’s, and maintain general knowledge of campaign performance across clients
  • Review reports against predetermined KPIs and provide high-level insights and optimization recommendations
  • Participate in new business development activities, lead and help grow new capabilities from an analytics / measurement perspective, and assist in the modeling and management of new service deliverables
  • Create digital reports from scratch using Google Sheets or Tableau to visualize and capture insights for performance campaigns
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 6+ year(s) of experience in performance media planning, preferably from a media agency or trading desk
  • Experience within B2B
  • New business experience

  • Expert level SEM experience including onboarding a new SEM account
  • Managed and trained junior employees
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors and clients. Ability to write concise, reasoned, and inspired media presentations, and present to clients effectively and confidently. 

  • A proven track record of consistently demonstrating sound creative, strategic, and analytical thinking skills, and championing innovative, bold and game-changing ideas. 

  • Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal / professional relationships with employees, vendors, clients, etc.

The Digital Media Supervisor is responsible for biddable campaign strategy, buying, reporting, analysis and optimization. You'll be steering the helm of our digital campaigns with a focus on maximizing visibility and engagement, primarily across the Google Advertising suite – Search, Display & YouTube; as well as LinkedIn Ads.. Your role is pivotal in shaping the digital narrative of our clients, driving brand awareness, customer acquisition and delivering measurable results. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies focusing on YouTube Ads, Google Search & Display Advertising, and LinkedIn Ads,, aligning with client goals and budget.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the creation, optimization, and management of advertising campaigns on YouTube,Google Ads, and LinkedIn Ads, ensuring maximum ROI.

The role

The Media Supervisor directs the media team’s day-to-day activities on specific client account(s), ensuring execution and quality of media activities that support effective, innovative, and strategic solutions. Supervises, trains and supports Media Planners and Assistant Media Planners, ensuring quality control and that timeliness are met for all work products. Reports into account AMD/MD, overseen by GMDs.

The role

The Senior Media Planner supports in the development of effective, innovative, and strategic solutions, is responsible for the oversight coordination and execution of approved media plans, media planners and assistant media planners. Reports directly to the Media Supervisor.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned).

Account & Client Management

  • Produces work that delivers on client goals and gains industry recognition for its creativity and results. Constantly seeks and creates creative opportunities in both media choice and usage to increase visibility/impact.
  • Oversight for day-to-day maintenance of assigned accounts (billing issues, budget revisions, flowchart updating, competitive analyses, post-buy analyses, etc.). Maintains detailed and accurate records. Monitors media agreements and contracts with outside media vendors.
  • Leads the development and direction of media strategies and POVs. Conducts media research, brainstorms, evaluates data, and develops points of view. Understands various media and their applications against client strategies and goals.
  • Maintains thorough, up-to-date knowledge of client’s business (market share, business priorities, key competitor strategies, etc.).
  • Communicates effectively with Media Supervisor, keeping him/her abreast of day-to-day status and flagging and elevating any concerns for the media planning team.

Vendor & Media Evaluation

  • Oversees communication with both internal (buying teams and specialists) and external resources (publications, websites, etc.), to gather and negotiate costs and plan details. Leads the evaluation process for media partners for their relevance in accomplishing client’s strategic goals.
  • Understand the taget customer journey against audience segments for a range of media vehicles (display, video, mobile, paid social, native) to determine which would most effectively reach target audience at each journey phase (awareness, familiarity, consideration, purchase and loyality).
  • Studies demographic data/consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for online advertising.
  • Checks calculations for campaign forecast/projected results, reach and frequency of potential media vehicles.
  • Stays abreast of key developments/trends/issues in media (e.g., population, demographic, lifestyle, media usage changes).
  • Maintains effective relationships with media vendors, ensuring Noble People is represented in a positive way.

Campaign Execution & Maintenance

  • Sets campaign timelines to ensure proper progression of media buys, such as timely issuance and receipt of client authorizations, delivery of paperwork to vendors, specs to creative agencies, delivery of creative assets to vendors, etc.
  • Responsible for the approval of insertion orders and placement of advertising with media vehicles.
  • Using multiple sources of external data, perform campaign analysis directly relevant to, and to assist in, optimizations, planning, and/or buying decisions.
  • Oversees, traffics, troubleshoots, and analyzes digital campaigns using a third party ad server.
  • Monitors media for pacing, delivery, placement, and flight-date discrepancies and negotiates credit or billing adjustments when necessary.
  • Mentors and delegates to Planners and Assistant Media Planners on daily tasks in order to grow the Assistant’s knowledge base and expand individual management skills.
